In my opinion, Starbucks double shot energy is not bad for you as it is a well-thought-out and well-designed drink with vitamins, minerals and herbs that have beneficial effects for your health.

Also, coffee is loaded with powerful antioxidants and phenolic compounds and flavonoids which are good for your well-being.

The caffeine content is 135 mg for all flavors and is less than the FDA’s recommended maximum intake of 400 mg per day for healthy adults and 200 mg for pregnant and nursing ladies and thus will not cause or lead to over stimulation.

How Much Caffeine Is In 2 Doubleshots?

For two doubleshots of Starbucks energy drink, refer to the above list and double the caffeine amount stated. For two double espresso shots the total caffeine content is 300 mg.

A single shot of espresso has 75 mg and therefore a double espresso, a doppio, has 150 mg of caffeine so two double espressos have 300 mg in caffeine.

Which Coffee Has The Most Caffeine?

The type of coffee bean that has the most caffeine is a Robusta coffee bean. A Robusta coffee has on average from 2.2x to 2.7x more caffeine than an Arabica coffee bean.

The coffee drink that has the most caffeine per ounce per 30 ml is a Ristretto due to being made with a 1:1 coffee to water ratio. As far as caffeine content and getting a quick caffeine boost, if you need to make a Ristretto using robusta beans.
