The Problem With Dunkin’ Decaffeinated Coffee K-Cups

While I have no complaints about the flavor and tasting notes of this coffee, and it rightfully makes its way onto my list of the top 10 decaf K cup coffees, the brand itself lacks alternative options to their current and only option.

A range of different roasts and flavors would be great, like French vanilla decaf option, cinnamon decaf, chocolate, caramel, which are available from other companies. If Dunkin’ donuts is to truly compete with these brands, they certainly will need to up their game and increase the range of decaffeinated coffee options available as both K-cups and regular coffee.

How To Flavor Your Dunkin Donuts K Cup Decaf

This is much easier than you would normally think. You will need to use a reusable metal K-cup and, for best results, a coffee canister and some flavoring spices to flavor your coffee.

First open your Dunkin’s decaf K cup and place the contents into your coffee canister. Depending on which flavor you wish to add to the coffee, simply chop a small amount of the natural item that you want to flavor your coffee with.

For example, if you want to make French vanilla flavor, take a French vanilla pod, slice it and chop it and place it into your coffee canister with the coffee grounds.

If you want a coconut flavor, place some coconut shavings in the canister with your coffee grounds.

Then simply close the coffee canister and leave it for up to 24 hours. During this time your coffee grounds will absorb the aroma and taste of the item that you have added to the coffee canister.

Once your 24 hours are up, filter out the food item using a sieve or other appropriate item. Then simply add your coffee grounds to your metal reusable coffee pod and brew a cup of coffee with your reusable K-cup as you normally would.
