If being sugar-free is what you are seeking, there are many options on Amazon from Torani.

Making Your Own Vanilla Syrup

If you are opting to make your own vanilla syrup, don’t worry as it is so easy to make. Simply weigh 5 ounces (150 grams) of granulated sugar and 5 ounces (150 ml) of filtered or bottled water.

Slice a vanilla bean (or vanilla pod) and place all your ingredients into a saucepan and heal gently at a low to medium heat and stir well. Stir until all your sugar is dissolved. Use a thermometer to ensure that the temperature is not taken above 55C (130F) as sugar burns at 60C (140F).

It should only take a few minutes until sugar has dissolved completely. Once ready, let your sugar solution cool. Leave your vanilla pod (or vanilla bean) to extract for 6 to 12 hours.

The longer you leave the vanilla pod (or vanilla bean) in your sugar solution will result in a more intense vanilla flavor.

Once ready, filter out your vanilla pod. It may take two or three filtration cycles to completely remove the residue.

That is all there is to making your homemade vanilla syrup.

Using your electric milk frother, insert it to the bottom and whisk evenly and move your frother through your milk slowly from bottom to top and back again until your get a nice even and thick cold foam.

Frothing should take about a minute.
