What Is Kenmore?

Kenmore is an American domestic appliance brand that was founded by three American businessmen: Sebastian Spering Kresge, Alvah Curtis Roebuck, Richard Warren Sears.

All there were successful businessmen in the retail sector, founding between them Sears department store and Kmart. The move to start Kenmore in 1913 was to produce, sell and distribute their own appliances.

The original product line started off with sewing machines, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, freezers, fridges, televisions and of course coffee makers.

Their products are sold in Sears, Kmart stores, Walmart, Target, and all the regular places that you would expect, including Amazon, eBay, and Lazada to name a few.

Who Makes Kenmore Coffee Makers

Kenmore doesn’t manufacture their own products. They are manufactured under contract by a variety of well known brands, including Whirlpool, Electrolux, LG, Panasonic, Daewoo Electronics and Cleva North America.

And thus, their coffee machines are made by those manufacturers. If you see a similar Kenmore coffee maker (or other product) at a better price but made or sold under one of these brands, then buy those products as they are very similar and are made at the same factory.

Who Owns Kenmore?

The Kenmore brand is now owned by Transformco, which in turn is owned by ESL Investments.

Sears and Kmart merged in 2005 to form Sears Holdings Corporation, which was taken over by Transformco in February 2019. Transformco sells and markets their products.

Transformco is what we would classify as a big box store and very large company with 45,000 employees, and was founded by Eddie Lampert in February 2019.

Transformco is owned by ESL, which is a private investment company that is classified as a hedgefund owned by Eddie Lampert. ESL Investments has been in business since 1988.

Coffee is love, it's more than love — it's a passion of mine. I've had the luck to have travelled and enjoyed the most exotic of coffee's and unique flavors, brewing methods and techniques of making the perfect coffee from Thai hill tribe coffee to Indonesian volcanic coffee, Malaysian coffee that comes in a tea bag and the array of flavors in Vietnam, from Vanilla to Orange to Coconut to Avocado to even salt coffee and the famous egg coffee. The best part of my coffee adventures is getting to mix with the locals over a nice brew and learning how they make it! I'm cited and referenced on Google Scholar for the topic of coffee.
